About

My name is Jo Ann J. A. Jordan. I am the full-time caregiver for my mother who has Parkinson’s Disease. My son, Alex, is a United States Marine. I have a very sweet Shih Tzu, named Hope. I am an avid reader; enjoy writing, photography, art, and computing.

I am a dedicated Christian. I believe Jesus is who the Holy Bible teaches He is. I am not, however, narrow-minded. I am open to discourse from those with differing opinions. I have to be, I am also a Democrat. Makes me a bit of a contradiction, but combining differences can be good.

I have Schizo-Affective Disorder, but am currently stable on medication. There have been periods of time when I lost touch with reality. One of those is recorded on this blog in the archives for 2005.

I am single and have been so for quite some time. When I write about love, in my poetry or prose, it usually does not reference any particular person. I have known love, so I can write from that experience.

I hope that you will find edifying things you enjoy throughout this blog. Take time to do a bit of exploring around. Please leave me a comment or follow Chronicles.

Always,
Jo Ann

JoAnn….I am glad I read your entry and through that found this blog….i love to read your writing and encourage you to begin your book or at least write your autobiography. I understand and empathize with you as the father i had was a sociopathic pedophile who passed as an accomplished attorney and author in life. I recently found out my cousins and family knew about him but I didn’t. My memories are repressed although i have pieces of a very few instances. You are a survivor, are very literate, have a very kind heart and spirit and are a lovely woman. I hope i can find my way back here again to read more of your entries. peace and hugs, kathi

    Kathi,

Thank you so much for reading my entry. I do not know if I will ever write a book, but your kind words are great encouragement. I have damage to my memory too, and it sometimes effects the current memories. When you block out things you can permanently impair memory function, and I must have blocked to survive.

I appreciate you sweet words. I hope you will come back and read more.

Maybe take a look at the entries for April 2005 to get an idea of what can happen when I have serious problems.

Cool Kathi. I hope you like WordPress. I am getting used to it. Still miss MSN Spaces at times, but there are some good features here too.

I talked to the owner of the storage place and straightened things out. The woman I talked to first was clueless and had an ugly disposition. I am sending a check for $265 to pay the rent through the end of May. It will be okay. Things were still there, the woman was just trying to scare me and be unreasonable. You know how some people can be?

I hope you sleep well. I appreciate you subscribing to my blog. You are the very first one to do that.

    JoAnn

I am glad things with the storage unit worked out ok. what a nasty lady to upset you that way and to treat a soldier’s family with more stress. I was so upset I was going to send you $5.00 towards the fee and find others who could also help out if you had needed it. I want to get set up here as I have more privacy than at Multiply where several of my children have access….this makes it hard to say some things I want to as they don’t know the family secrets and don’t need to know them. I may be asking for help from you as I like the way your blog is set up….peace and thoughts for a relaxing day…free of stress for you and your mom…

Kathi, I have found that money can solve many problems and make things magically reappear. I told the ugly woman I had called to take care of it and was prepared to pay and she relayed the message to the owner. They suddenly remembered that they still had the truck and trailer and the things that were stored in them. They are just parked in his lot. Alex is transferring the money to my Mom to cover the expense and Mom had enough to cover it. Thank you for thinking about helping out. That was very generous.

I will be glad to help you get acquainted with WordPress. They have some good documentation to help you get started. My blog actually transferred here from MSN Spaces when Microsoft left the blog business. The secret to having a blog you really like is picking a theme that appeals to you. The one I am using is called Fusion and you can tailor it to fit your needs. The header is my own photograph and I like that. Some themes have that option others are set. I found another theme I liked a lot the other day, but when I changed over the sidebar was much diminished and I decided I should change back. I want my archives visible because my blog goes back to 2005. I did some rearranging and changing to make this blog what I wanted it to be.

Good luck with your new venture. I guess I have pretty much decided I have no secrets, because I have put myself out in the open. I understand wanting a new start where you can speak openly. My blog has always been that for me.

Mom’s best friend visited today and brought pizza for lunch. I think Mom enjoyed that a lot. I am trying to settle now, some of my Facebook “friends” are causing me some anxiety, but I am trying to avoid those people today. Most of the day has been very nice. I am taking it easy.

Thank you Lea… I appreciate the nomination. I am not sure when I can do all that is entailed in it, but it was kind of you to think of me.
