Journal entry:

Journal 3-20-20120001

My photographs are again from inside because the pollen levels are extremely high here and I have some respiratory problems.

My work area, because one of friends mentioned it…

I am grateful:

1.   I have supportive friends who recognize my problems, but love me in spite of them.
2.   Our appointment with our primary care doctor went well today.
3.   We ate at Outback for lunch and had a free Bloomin’ Onion.
4.   I did not delete my blogs and accounts as my first reaction to attack.
5.   My headache eased off and my breathing improved after we came inside for the evening.

I hope your day was rewarding and that you did something creative.

Always,
Jo Ann

Good for you, JoAnn. It’s funny that this guy has been reading about you. He must really feel threatened by your review. Evidently, he realizes that you do know what you are talking about or he wouldn’t care so much. Your opinion must matter very much to him.

Thanks Anita… I don’t know what his reasoning is, but I wish he would find some other object on which to concentrate his nastiness. I thought I was done with him quite some time ago… now this renewed effort at being cruel. I think he believes me to be vulnerable, which in a way I am, or his remark would not have hurt so much. What he may not realize is that very little scares me. He has threatened me in the past and it did not make me erase or change my review, and this new tactic will not do it now. I stick by my words. His novel is awful.

Good decision. Standing up to bullies is the best long term idea. Who is the author in question?

Thanks so much smcgee. It takes me a little time to gather my guts, but with supportive friends I can regroup.

The man is named Brian Niskala and the book is Rhinehoth. I read it on Kindle, and it was so poorly written I had to leave a review almost a year ago.
