2012

Fortunate days, fortunate ways,
Everything falls in place
In perfect timing, comfortable space.

Blessings rain down, erasing my frown
Bringing glowing smiles
To shorten the many miles.

Jesus travels with me, within me,
Making the journey worth traveling,
Keeping my life from unraveling.

Time passes, a year, rich in good cheer,
Hours made so beautiful
By miracles always very plentiful.

Happy New Year 20130001

I am grateful:

1.   Mom is with me to begin 2013.
2.   I was able to stay awake all day after staying up all night.
3.   I mailed my package this afternoon.
4.   I was able to get everything on my shopping list.
5.   Alex and Laura came to visit this afternoon.

I had a wonderful Monday. I hope yours was full of happiness as well. Before this year ends I encourage you to exercise your creativity. I know your imagination is filled with greatness, you must only uncover it. Unleash your creative dreams.

As a prompt, write about some of your accomplishments this year. Make it a review, and see how much positivity you can demonstrate. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Entering into the New Year, I hope you find energy to nurture your creativity. May inspiration richly bless each of your days. God be with every one of you.

2012 in Review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 8,100 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 14 years to get that many views.

365 Creativity Project-Day 356

Journal entry:

Journal 12-30-20120001

Fortuitous Risk

Do what you can
For whoever you can,
And pray the Lord’s blessing
Upon every action you take.

Know God is with you
In each moment you live,
Share your happiness
With others you touch.

Be willing to be used
In whatever capacity
The Lord may choose
And He will give you a chance.

Opportunity may come
When it is least expected,
So be prepared to act
According to God’s leading.

I am grateful:

1.   God is so gracious to me.
2.   Mom is supportive when I want to do something a bit unusual.
3.   Reba called me today.
4.   I called Bernice.
5.   Things fit in the envelope, though I did not think they would.

I have had a pleasant Sunday, and hope you did as well. I encourage you to put your imagination to work and do something creative. You have special gifts and talents only you can share with the world. The world needs your contribution.

As a prompt, use the words: money, opportunities, limited, realized, special, plan, agreed, idea, prepare, decided, in a poem, story, or journal entry. If only a one or a few of the words appeal to you that is fine too. Just use what sparks your imagination. Should you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

I appreciate your visit to my blog. I hope you found your time here enjoyable. Perhaps you would like to subscribe to Chronicles so you receive daily updates. I know you may have thoughts, suggestions, or criticism to share, so please leave a comment.

365 Creativity Project-Day 355

Journal entry:

Journal 12-29-20120001

Enraptured

A thousand angels leaning
Down to Earth, watching over
Your shoulder, whisper softly,
“Grow and prosper well my child.”

As you plan each of your days
Heaven’s hosts wait anxiously,
Hoping you will remember
To seek the Lord’s sure guidance.

The universe in all its
Bright array, with expectant
Wonder, wishes you the best,
Most blessed of accomplishments.

Whatever you set your heart
Upon, all the good spirits
And pleasant souls endeavor
To nurture into being.

So do not ever believe
Yourself alone in your trials
For you are surrounded by
A great cloud of well-wishers.

These saintly presences may
Not interfere, but they add
Their positive energy
To help you in every plight.

Stuffed Companion

If I were a teddy bear
Would you love me and hold me
Tight all through the darkest night?

Would you keep me in your room
In a very special place
And share your moments with me?

If I were a teddy bear
Would you tell me your secrets,
Letting me inside your life?

Would you be happy with me
Every single day and night
Instead of discarding me?

I am grateful:

1.   I was able to catch a nap before going out today.

Looking
Back over all
This past year I am pleased
To see the progress I have made
Moving beyond personal restrictions
Achieving much more than I thought
Possible every day

Happiness Bestowed

Pretty
Presents appear
To brighten up the end
Of the year and lift the spirits
Up beyond where they have been in despair
Gifts are given with cheerful hearts

Holiday Gifts

Christmas
Comes only once
Per year bringing with it
Loads of happiness and good cheer
To share with people everywhere and it
Calls us to remember the gift
God sent to us on Earth,
His only son,
Jesus

Discarded

Respect
He does not have
For me anymore, but
I guess it is no wonder at
All, I only always tried to do my best
For him , giving him all I could.
Maybe he is now ashamed
To be a son
Of mine.

Midnight Oil

Up all
Night once again
Working on the projects
I just never seem able to
Complete beneath the bright light of daytime.
Taking extra hours I have gained
From the deepest darkness
Of night, which holds
Me tight
