365 Creativity Project-Day 343

Journal entry:

Journal 12-17-20120001

I am not so sure
You know me or I know you
Because I, myself,
Am a mystery to me,
Unknown and unknowable.

Every day I learn
Something new about myself,
So how am I to
Fully comprehend who you
Might in reality be?

I encourage you,
I attempt to lift you up,
But I have no true
Idea what you think inside
Of your own sovereign mind.

Only God surely
Knows the interior heart
Of each one of us,
We live our lives according
To our own good devices.

Jesus lives and He
Alone redeems us from our
Base inclinations,
We are left to live within
The confines of His great love.

I am grateful:

1.   I finished reading Savage Lands by Clare Clark this morning.
2.   I slept without waking up coughing last night.
3.   I seem to be almost well.
4.   There is a great deal of beauty in the world.
5.   I took a nap this afternoon because I was cold.

I have enjoyed my Monday. I hope you have had a good day as well. Before you retire for the evening, I urge you to do something creative. It will enhance your day, and perhaps someone else’s.

As a prompt, write a poem, story, or journal entry including the words: moments, choices, myriad, omniscient, mystery.
If you use this prompt please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I would appreciate knowing your thoughts, suggestions, or criticism, so please leave a comment. If you enjoyed what you found here you might want to follow Chronicles.

?? I am confused. ?? I followed it to the end and was, no offense, left empty by the meaningless of all those wonderful words leading to…..nothing. So sorry. I am not one to criticize you. I don’t mean to now. I guess I must have missed something in this one.

I thought it made sense Loni, but it was not a story as such with a clear ending. It was more me musing on paper. I am sorry I confused you.

This is beautiful JoAnn! No, we never know all there is to know about a person… but we can try our damnedest to figure it out along the way. Finding who we are is an endless journey, because as we age… we change.

Thank you Dana. I had the recent shooting in mind as I wrote this and just wrote some thoughts.
