Creativity Project Year Two-Day 2

Journal entry:

Journal 1-10-20130001

Obtaining Proficiency

Beginner’s mind can
Barely see beyond surface
Of what should be done
Not knowing intricacies
To produce true perfection.

Creativity foremost
Lead forward, direct
Toward greater skillfulness,
And nobler accomplishment.

Everything is fresh,
New to those who are learning,
Discoveries are
Made with disciplines acquired,
Tantalizing education.

Each day brings extreme
Adventure on the pathway
To better knowledge,
Comprehensive expertise,
And more artful mastery.

I am grateful:

1.   I called Mom’s kidney specialist and found out they had sent orders for a dietitian because of my inquiry.
2.   I did not have time to worry much today.
3.   It rained.
4.   I remembered everything I needed to take to the meeting.
5.   I learned a new setting on my camera.

I am getting this posted late because the meeting kept me. I enjoyed my Thursday and hope you did as well. No matter when you are reading this, I encourage you to devote time to creativity. You can accomplish so much if you let your imagination guide you.

As a prompt, write about being a beginner. You might want to focus on your feelings or goals. Everyone begins, and you have a tale to tell. Write it out in a poem, story, journal entry, or a note to elaborate on later. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Thank you for spending some of your precious time with me. I hope you will share your thoughts, suggestions, or criticism with me by commenting. If you would like, please follow Chronicles.

    Lovely photos!

My friend, you are not an idiot! Perish the thought!

I’ve spoken twice before audiences, in recent years, and while nervous about preparing my presentations, I determined to sally forth into unknown territory for me.

Well, unknow since maybe my school days when I gave MLK’s I Have a Dream Speech in front of an audience in elementary school. 😀

On my cat blog news was just shared that I am hoping to get chosen to speak at an animal blogger convention,

This would be in front of an audience far larger than those last 2 times I spoke.

Kiril, thank you. I just feel an idiot when I try to explain things before a group. I am kinda a hermit, getting out in public is hard on me.

I know you will do well if you get the speaking gig. Good Luck!
