Vagaries Of Time

Fear not for the future
For it is in the hands
Of our Almighty God
And He will without doubt
Take care of us within it.

Weep not for the past
For there is not a single
Thing about it you can
Alter now since it is gone,
Be content with what is.

Make the best of the present
Fulfilling the awesome promise
Held inside your gentle heart,
For neither past nor future
Are open to you in the now.

Everything happens just now,
You can change the path
Of your future through present
Actions and you can also
Redeem your past experiences.

Time is always yours to use
If you will only remember:
Fear not for the future,
Weep not for the past,
Make the best of the present.

I am grateful:

1.   Mom was able to spend some time with June today.
2.   The magazines were at the mall.
3.   I ordered some memory cards last night.
4.   Our prescriptions were ready at Sam’s pharmacy.
5.   The class this evening was very good.

My day was very busy, so I am getting this done late. I hope your Tuesday was rewarding. If you have not engaged your imagination to accomplish something creative already, I suggest you do it now. The talent lies within you, just let it flow forth.

As a prompt, write about the past, present, and future. You might want to do it philosophically, or perhaps more with realistic detail. Whatever you do, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

I am very grateful you took time to visit my blog. If you have thoughts, suggestions, or criticism to share, please leave a comment. I would love for you to find your way here often, but you might also want to subscribe to Chronicles by email, that is available above.
