Be Yourself

Dare to
Be different,
Be an original.
Stand out from the rest of the crowd,
Because God made you to be exactly
Who you are both inside and out,
You are created in
His own image…
Yourself

I am grateful:

1.   Although I ignored my alarm awhile, Mom called me and I got up before she left this morning.
2.   I wrote up the list of contest winners for the webpage, and separately typed them up for email.
3.   I posted the description of the new contest on the webpage and placed it in its proper menu without making a mess.
4.   Mom brought me an excellent lunch and chocolate éclairs.
5.   I did some editorial work that I hope proves acceptable.

Mine was a working Saturday, but I hope you had time to relax. If you have not already created something to share with the world, I encourage you to do it now. There is no time like the present to exercise your imagination. You can brighten and/or enlighten someone’s life with your creativity.

As a prompt, write a poem, story, or journal entry of encouragement to yourself and others. Preferably write it in the second person, but if you rather use the first person that is fine as well. Just write and come back to edit later. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you found your sojourn here enjoyable. Please come back frequently, and if you would like updates by email, subscribe to Chronicles. If you have thoughts, suggestions, or criticism to share, please leave a comment.

Always,
Jo Ann

365 Creativity Project-Day 298

Journal entry:

Journal 11-2-20120001

I was a day behind on the November Poem-a-Day Challenge sponsored by Poetic Asides, but I caught up with two poems today. If you are interested in participating, please visit that blog.

Change

No dear…
I am afraid
That outfit does not match
The colors clash quite horribly
Please pick out something different to wear
Otherwise you will embarrass
Yourself very badly
When going out
No dear…

Glorious Orb

Full moon…
Peeking through trees
Lighting up the darkness
With its pale and beautiful light
Making magic of this autumn midnight
I can see into the distance
Because of its fair face
Shining in space
Full moon…

I am grateful:

1.   I woke up when the alarm went off.
2.   The GPS led me to the Yancey’s without problem.
3.   It was a beautiful day.
4.   There was a good turn out for the field trip.
5.   I came home and relaxed.

I had a day that was close to perfection. I hope your Friday was wonderful as well. If you have not already worked creatively today, I urge you to make that effort now. You may not have the perfect tools, but you are blessed with a great imagination. You can make something that will enrich our world and gratify yourself.

As a prompt, write about the outdoors. You could write about something you have seen, done, or experienced outside. Whatever interests you, just write. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

I am glad you found your way to my blog. I hope you enjoyed your visit here. If you have thoughts, suggestions, or criticism, please leave a comment. Maybe you would like to follow Chronicles…

Little Five Points

Never
Have I ever
Seen so many people
Freely interacting without
Any structured supervision being
So kindly toward each other
And behaving so well
As those at this
Parade

I am grateful:

1.   I woke up an hour before my alarm was set to go off.
2.   I read our Bible study before lunch.
3.   I had a Halloween shirt to wear.
4.   Richard and Norma were so kind as to let me ride to Atlanta with them, otherwise I would not have gotten to go to the parade.
5.   I had a fabulous day.

I hope your Saturday was as filled with pleasant surprises as was mine. I hope you will take the time to create something now. No time will be so opportune as this present moment. You have the talent, the creativity, all you have to do is make the effort.

As a prompt, write about something that has surprised you recently. This could be an event, a blessing, a person, or anything that happened unexpectedly. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. If you have thoughts, suggestions, or criticism, please leave me a comment. I appreciate your input more than you can know. Following Chronicles is easy and gives you daily updates, you might like to do that now.

Jo Ann

365 Creativity Project-Day 225

Journal entry:

Journal 8-21-20120001

The following poem is in answer to the prompt at Carry On Tuesday. You might want to head over to that site for a bit of inspiration.

Improved By Love

When somebody loves you
The sun shines a little brighter,
You smile a little wider,
All seems well with the world.

When somebody loves you
There is no limit to what
You can accomplish, because
You know you have support.

When somebody loves you
The universe seems to work
To your benefit in many ways
And happiness overtakes you.

When somebody loves you,
Life is comfortable, filled
With immeasurable thrills,
Bringing you great satisfaction.

Everybody needs to be loved
Because when somebody loves you
Everything in life is better,
So you best find somebody to love.

I am grateful:

1.   I woke up early.
2.   My shower helped fully wake me up.
3.   I found gel pens for a very reasonable price.
4.   I found tee-shirts on sale.
5.   Mom feels better this evening.

I hope your Tuesday has been full of happiness. Take time to create something beautiful now. It will not take more than a few moments to add your touch to the day. The universe waits with bated breath for your creation.

As a prompt, write about a guilty pleasure you have enjoyed recently. Everyone falls into temptation from time to time, share a moment of weakness with us. If you use this prompt, please leave a link to your work in the comments below.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I love to know your thoughts, so please leave a comment.

Always,
