365 Creativity Project-Day 153

Journal entry:

Journal 6-10-20120001

I used the words from The Sunday Whirl to write today’s poem. The featured words are in italics. If you would like some inspiration, visit that site.

My Contribution

If I can cheer you,
Place a corona of joy,
Which wipes away stain
Of the shadows that dog you,
Upon your twice worthy head…

Perhaps it atones
For the stones and mud that brush
Your limbs as you crawl
Over bluffs where you
trembled
With nail biting anxiousness…

Perhaps it will fill
The vessels that nourish you
With strength to fulfill
Your destiny and stand strong
Like the flexible willow…

Perhaps you will go
On to inspire someone else,
Influence the world,
And make a huge difference
In the course of history.

I am grateful:

1.   I can use my brain creatively despite my problems.
2.   I woke up fairly early even though I went to bed extremely late.
3.   I chose to do this Creativity Project and challenge myself.
4.   Mom cooked spaghetti.
5.   There is electricity to run our electronics, lights, and to keep us comfortable.

I hope your Sunday has been relaxing and full of joy. Do something creative before you retire for the night. You have the ability, just use it. I know you can do it, because I do.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought of this post.

Always,
Jo Ann

  1. Nice poem, Jo Ann! And really lovely photographs. Love the lilies; I have that same old-fashioned variety in our garden. The Wordles are fun, aren’t they? I just discovered them.

    1. Thank you Gerry, I am glad you liked the poem and photographs. We have only a few of that variety of lily. I have only been doing the wordles a few weeks. I enjoy them though I really have to work at them. They don’t just fall into place for me.

I am so glad you visited my blog and left me a comment. I hope you will find your way back again. Happy writing to you!

  2. Lovely poem and photos Jo Ann, I also love your grateful list. (should possibly start writing those) Gave the whordle a try too and so linked to you from my post.

    1. Thank you Veronica. I am glad you like the poem and photos. I used to only do thankful lists on Thursdays, but for a while now I have been writing a gratitude list every day. It is wonderful for conquering negativity and reminding one of what is important. I highly recommend it.

Thank you for linking to me. I so appreciate your visits and comments.

    1. Thank you Brenda. I am glad you liked the poem. I think the direction derived from the first line brought all of it together. Perhaps allows you to move almost anywhere.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting. I hope you will come back again.

    1. Thank you Walt. You encourage me to continue this endeavor. I am glad you liked the photos and the writing.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It means a lot to me. I hope you will return. Been a long time since someone called what I do exceptional, that is a great compliment. I appreciate it more than you know.
